Inquiring minds want to know

In lieu of anything monumental to blog about tonight, I thought I'd take a page from Gabi (our own personal Bawbwa Waltehs) and conduct a little interview of my own.

With one of my own.

Clicked off to hunt for free porn yet?

No? Good, here goes.

Tonight I will be interviewing my youngest, Hannah, who for some reason seems to think that bedtime does not apply to her tonight.

Name: Hannah.

Nickname: Odette (Watch Swan Lake much? Me thinks a little TOO much).

Middle name: Ruby (in real life, she doesn't have one).

Favorite color: Pink. P-I-N-K, Mom. That spells pink. Ha ha ha ha ha. (She finds herself quite hilarious)

Favorite animal: Bunny. (If you only knew my girl, you'd know how vast of an understatement this is. Someday I will blog about her love of bunnies)

What do you want to be when you grow up? A teacher because I want to learn lots of things. But a teacher really only teaches things. So, I guess I don't want to be that. Maybe I'll just be a mom. And really beautiful. I'll be really, really beautiful and have lots of children. My husband will be just like Daddy, except maybe not with brown hair. He'll probably have gray hair. And he'll be handsome, just like Daddy.

What do you think I was like as a little girl? Just like me, only not as pretty. Ha ha ha ha ha. (Nice one, kid.)

What kind of a mom do you think you will be like? A nice mom. I will take my children out to dinner at fancy restaurants like McDonald's. I will buy my little girls lots of Webkinz. And I guess for my little boys, too. I think I will have two girls and one boy. That's the opposite of our family.

Am I a nice mom? Yes.

Be honest? YES, GEEZ!

What's your favorite food that I make? Umm...[crickets chirping in the background, then a long pause]...panacakes.

What do you think Daddy does for work? He helps the hospital, and he gets people to the hospital. (Close, except that sometimes health care consultants have to FIRE people working in the hospital. I won't tell her if you don't.)

Who is your best friend? Jilian.

What is your favorite thing about me? [Long disapproving look] Umm, you smell good?

What are you afraid of? The dark because I think ghosts will pop up, but I know they're not alive.

If you know they're not alive, why are you afraid of them? Because I can't get rid of that feeling.

Why are you still awake right now - it's 9:58? Hee hee hee. Cause I want to sleep with you. (Husband is out of town, of course, which leaves me with a six-year-old bunkmate)

Are you waiting for me to come to bed before you will fall asleep? Yes.

Who is the mom here, me or you? ME. Ha ha ha, hee hee hee.

All right. Time for bed.

So concludes the end of this highly important interview in which I learned that I smell nice and am not in charge around here.

Now tell me something I didn't know.

Who reads your blog who also searches for free porn? Unless you consider free porn ebay deals on Gymboree. Then, me.

I can just hear her giggling after her comments. Cute girl! How did that Kindergarten year pass by so fast??? Are you thinking the same thing? Cam is HUGE. MISS YA!

Sounds like a pretty smart girl!

That was so cute. I love that McDonalds is one of those fancy restaurants. I don't think she really has to plan on being beautiful when she's older. She's already there.

Cute interview!

But....I have a bone to pick with you. My husband is falling in love with you. Your carmel bars and the clean house you have shown have sealed his admiration of you. Plus, the spotless yard and the perfect children, and the fact that you run around the house naked, I can't compete.

That was too cute! My hubby rarely is gone overnight but when he is I usually don't mind letting my little toddler snuggle up with me for the night. She's a sweetheart :)

Webkins.....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I love this idea, and may have to copy just for posterity sake... it will be great to have this days in the future. She will look back at it and love you for it. :)

I love it that she loves pink! I remember how you were never going to have a girlie girl...especially a pink baby. I think she was already going hee hee hee!

She is adorable. Love the interview the kids idea. Stealing may be in order.

My kids think McDonalds is fancy too as long as it has a play land WITH video games.

This precious interview is definitely bloglift worthy(like scraplift, but since I hardly scrapbook anymore...). Love her use of fancy and McDonalds in the same sentence. And her career choice.

What a clever mommy you are. I love this interview idea. Years from now I am sure you will enjoy it more.
I love Jenibelle's comments. My husband would be in love with you too except I haven't told him about you yet!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, I loved every word of this! She is so cute and I loved how you included her giggles, riotous laughter and her facial expressions.

Great interview!

I love how she wants to take her kids to FANCY restaurants like McDonald's. I wish I still thought McDonald's was fancy.

That was great! I have 4 little girls I need to interview. Thanks for the idea. I'm almost afraid though. What if they don't think I smell good?
We know who's really in charge at our house, the girls. The young ones, not the old one.

What a little doll.

I'm sure you will be reading about all of us interviewing our kids next week! ;)

I am still trying to convince my kids that I am in charge. It's not going over to well.

Great post! She's a cutie.

Ahhh, the bunkmate's that sneak in when the husband is away. Once Chris climbed into bed while Matthew was in our room and he looked over disapprovingly, "Hey, that's my spot."

McDonalds and Webkinz...doesn't get much better than that!

Loved the interview, & I agree with the others, I may have to copy your idea. Hannah is so precious. Our kids are too much alike...Webkinz, HSM, McD's!

I'm afraid to interview my children...I don't think they would be that nice!

CJ, The Purple Diva said...

Cute idea! There is NO way I would consider asking any of these questions to my kids around here ...after all they're all teenage boys, who ARE in charge of the house! And the question about whether or not I am nice...HMMM, that one would be scratched from the list...because with their lack of cleaniness skills and lazy habits, I am NOT a nice person!

Thanks for the nice words for me the other day about my dad, love your blog!
