Stie has gone global. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Hello, peeps. Can I just say thanks? Thanks to all of you who played along in our little mapping game. It was so fun for the kids and I all weekend. They rushed over to the computer every time it made the little 'ping' letting us know there was a new comment. Made the days go by so much faster.

And, hello? Some of you get to live in just about the best places ever. I am highly jealous. I would love to live in a little fishing town in Scotland. Or Denmark. Or Australia.

Heck, on this cold day, I'd happily take California.

I am highly intrigued by the reader living in Qatar, however. In my ignorance, it sounds positively terrifying. And the reader in Singapore! Sounds very exotic.

But maybe the grass isn't greener. Maybe you wake up in your respective cities, bored, tired, hungry, and head off to work. Or you grit your teeth and clean up spilled milk, wishing desperately to be somewhere else. Somewhere really exciting like Missouri.

Nah. Pretty sure your lives are awesome.

Anyway, here is the rundown, with the states highlighted in white having no commentors. Clearly, I am not loved in the Dakotas. Or that big chunk that runs down through Arkansas.

As you can see, I am represented by you fine people elsewhere though. I am highly adored by the good people of Utah, with California a close second. Ironically, no one from my own state of Missouri commented, though theoretically I have friends and peeps here. I'm pretty sure a few of my real-life friends read. But maybe not? Maybe I'm not as cool as I think I am.

Oh well. At least I'm loved in Australia. And maybe one of the readers down there knows Hugh Jackman? If you see him, tell him to call me.

Anyway, thanks for keeping us busy and entertained on what could have been an otherwise hard weekend. You are the best.

And if any of you have guest rooms and would like me to visit, just say the word. I'm just generous enough to impose myself upon you for weeks at a time.

Except Qatar. I'm slightly scared of things over in that neck of the woods right now. Matter of fact, Qatar, shall I ready my guest room for YOU?

**Updated to add: I misappropriated my Netherlands reader! So sorry - you mentioned being from Minnesota, and I put the tally there by mistake. I have people in the Netherlands! Woo!

You're so cool. I'm lucky if I get a visitor from Canada. I found it slightly amusing that two Lehi peeps mentioned the Roller Mills. We've got to be proud of something, I guess.

I love reading your blog! You make my day brighter! I enjoyed your little game but also wanted to let you know that Google Analytics does all that for you! If you don't have it already, you should add it to your blog site. You can see where people come from, how many each day, compare your visiters from last month or last year, etc. There are so many things to explore in Google Analytics. Plus, no one else knows you have it on your site!! Sneaky!!

I find it most interesting that you don't have any fans in your home state.

Once people have been around you, they know...

Sorry, I didnt get a chance to comment before. In fact I never comment as I read on my phone usually.

One more in Australia - Sydney.

My connection to Hugh Jackman is a long shot - a friend went to school with him at Knox.

Thats all... Kerry

Qatar here. I feel honored to have the Most Exotic designation. I also feel flattered that the guest room will be ready when I need it. After reading your recent 'Guest Room' blog, I shall enjoy a good People Magazine and have all the fresh towels I could need. It is awfully tempting. But, do you want my rambunctious 4 children to join? You might want to retract your generous offer ;)

Surprisingly, I feel safer raising my kids in this small Middle Eastern country than back in the US. Qatar is oil rich so there probably won't be too many stir ups in the near future. Why try to kick out a dictator when he pays for your education, gives you free land, and if there is extra, a trip to Spain yearly? Everyone is quite happy here so I don't see an upheaval anytime too soon. I can't say the same for our neighboring countries, but Qatar is disappointingly boring.

I do follow you and think your fab. If you caught me two years ago I would have been in Kathmandu, Nepal. That would have been a lot more exciting. Qatar? Meh.

You are global, and you're awesome.

PS - Say hi to Micah from me.

I am happy to report that you are loved in North Dakota! Sorry I missed the weekend posting. :)

I have three kids (2 girls and 1 boy) and love hearing about them and your life. Keep it up!

Ha, that is awesome! You need to add one more to
U-tah! or perhaps I should move to one of the Dakota's to help you out in that area ;)

Dang I missed it but you can add a reader from Estonia (good luck finding it on the map, a little hint: tiny). Keep up the good work. Enjoy reading your blog a lot.

I didn't see my location of Target on your list.

What I found fascinating about this post...(and I am channeling my inner
"Dan") that you have so much time on your hands that you can actually count locations and figure out how to diagram a map with the collected data. That is the sign of a truly organized and maybe demented woman.

Well, hie your buns to Utah for Women's Conference this year, will ya? So I can stalk you in person again?

Qatar. Huh.

crystal said...

Okay, I just scrolled up and saw the Qatarite and she blew the mold for me.

Hi, terahreu! If I pop up in your blog's comments it is because I want a blog buddy who lives in Qatar.

I am not a creepy creeper--just ask Christie, whom I stalked in the lunch line when she was randomly visiting Utah.

You are very well loved in San Diego! Miss you girl!

Crystal, feel free to lurk on my blog. In fact, feel free to come visit Qatar anytime. I would be happy to show you all the sand and camels we have to offer. My home is open and we have a guest room. I don't guarantee to have a People magazine for you like Stie (a. I probably won't be able to find one. b. If I do, it would probably cost $20 USD), but we could go abaya shopping and eat all the hummus our stomachs could handle.

I've missed reading this past month, you always make me smile, and or usually laugh out loud! Here's one for IOWA!
