Spiderweb Cookies revisited

It's that time of year again, interpeeps.

No, not the time of year where we finally pull out that naughty french maid outfit and decide to hooch it up at the PTA party.

It's the time of year where we raid our children's trick-or-treat bags and steal all the good chocolate.

Don't even pretend you don't do it.

But I just made these today, as per our annual tradition. If you want the recipe, see the post I did on it last year. You won't be sorry. They are so, so good.

Gee thanks for the calories, cooky recipes are good and all, but what enquiring minds really want is pictures of you hootching it up at the PTA meeting. Is there going to be a song written about it anytime soon?

Please tell me you have hooched it up for the PTA...(I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to that, but still...even a fake story would be better than nothin')
Do you have a favorite sugar cookie recipe? I need a good one.

Hmmm, now that I saw this recipe and your other dessert recipes, I see you in a whole new light. Funny, bright, beautiful, AND a baker? I don't know about this...

I actually have to take something to a block party on Halloween, so this was a perfect post for me!

And does your friend Sue-from-Concord of the caramel bars recipe happen to be my friend Sue Mika?

You're amazing.

I think I'll try them again this year and hope they look like yours. I didn't have such great success last year. Cute idea. Good luck sneaking all the good chocolate out of your kids Halloween bags. Be sure to put it in a safe place for those chocolate emergencies.

Not rolling out the cookies? Brilliant. My kids have been begging for Halloween cookies and I'm going to make these--thanks for the great idea!

Ooooh I think I'm going to make them for dessert on Halloween. We always have people over for dinner. They are too fun. Thanks for sharing.

I hate that my big kids are getting old enough to

a)figure out if I take stuff

b)actually like the good candy (as opposed to their previous loves: skittles, starburst and laffy taffy)

My one hope is that I don't have the baby before Halloween so I can continue sugar-fest for a day or two past the chocolate bonanza.

So, should we just start over reading your blog? Because it appears that it is going to be the same thing over and over...

Very clever.

Could you have the naughty maid deliver some cookies to me please. Does she clean your house?

I had a little boy once who went around saying "Spiderman" in a squeaky voice just to scare his siblings. He would have loved these! (Maybe he does.)

Those cookies are a true thing of beauty!

Now...where did I put my french maid costume?

Mine didn't work so well last year, either...I'll have to try them again. Yours are beautiful...my webs weren't so pretty! And be sure to take a picture of the french maid at the PTA meeting...ha ha!

Yes... please share your sugar cookie recipe! I need a good one. Right now I go with the ready made dough.

I am pathetic at cookies! Other desserts-- no problem-- but I am BAD at cookies. If I have a good recipe maybe they will turn out better.

I'll give cookie making one more chance.

As Troy Bolton would say "♫ This is the last chance to make it right ♫"

You love it when I quote HSM... :)

I made those last year! Waaaay cute, however, mine didn't look as pretty as yours!

I tried last year and failed miserably. This year I signed up to bring grapes and carrots to the parties. Won't I be popular?

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who likes to hooch it up at PTO meetings! haha Sad thing is, I've known some parents to pretty much do this for parent-teacher conferences...SERIOUSLY!!! The poor male teachers couldn't even make eye contact.
