When you want to make a shake after a long, hard day at school, it is wise to remember one thing before starting:
Make sure the bottom is put on the blender BEFORE you pour the #!@$ milk and it runs all over the counter and floor.
Also of note: The blender is hereby off-limits to sixth grade boys pending further notice.
Adorable new smiles notwithstanding.

Wait!
Did he get his braces off too? Or am I just completely out of the loop?
And sadly, the blender thing... totally my life.
I locked the door the other day before leaving for work, then left it wide open. The next day, I remembered to shut it, but forgot to lock it. *sigh*
Julianna, he is the one who got the braces off. He is taller than his older brother, much to his brother's chagrin.
I'm thinking that you need a blender that the bottom doesn't come out of. My kids are welcome to the blender, but if they go to the hose....they might just not make it. We had one spray inside the house because his brother told him to get him wet. ARGH.
Oh! That smile! I don't know how you resist.
Oh, I did that before too. Except I was a 22 yr old newlywed who didn't have a clue. Tell Chase it's better to learn that little life lesson now, in 6th grade!
I'm so sorry about the $#&% milk ;-) But that is ONE handsome smile!
6th grade?!!! he looks like a freshman in high school! my 6th grade daughter looks like a 4th grader.
Permanent global internet humiliation is a great way to teach him a lesson about blenders. Nice job.
I learned a valuable lesson by way of Chase.
...we had a similar experience here...the bottom of the blender was present...BUT it was incredibly loose...so it leaked all over the base of the blender and made me go cuckoo bonga.
...well, more cuckoo bonga than normal...
That smile is, indeed, fantastic.
Ashley was sitting with me while I was reading your blog. She broke into a huge grin and screamed "CHASE!? CHASE GOT HIS BRACES OFF!" I think she has a bit of an innocent, cousin-love crush on this boy. He is so handsome and sweet, I can see why.
I love his new smile!
blender aside--do you really buy milk in glass bottles? where does this come from?
