Note to self

When your children want to buy ukeleles for souvenirs, it is a good idea to make them wait until the last day of the trip.

Instead of when you have FOUR DAYS LEFT for them to pleasure you with their plinking and plucking.

Oh the joy.

Hahaha that is priceless! Good luck with that. Maybe it will get squashed in luggage on the way home? Just kidding...

A ukelele huh? Why does that seem so, so perfect for Chase? Maybe someone will barf on the ukelele. You can only hope.

Yeah I push for the tikis and shark tooth necklaces.

Have fun with that.

We have almost that exact same one. It's now down to 2 strings thanks to the children. We love it! Good pick Chase :)

P.S. Thank you for taking whatever device you have with you on your vacation. Living vicariously is what i've been doing.

Oh, but just look at that happy grin.

I hope you enjoy it Chase. Learn a really sweet Hawaiian number to play for your mom. She'd love that. (Maybe she'll even do the hula while you play!)

P.S. The picture is really little on my computer and the box sitting next to Chase looks like a really big piece of chocolate cake with sprinkles on it. I thought maybe that was YOUR souvenir! You are very wise like that.

Should I ever make it to Hawaii, I hope I remember this blog post. Ukelele's only purchased on the last day of the trip. Great advice.

Sorry.

Still not feeling sorry for you.

Even with the barfing and the ukelele plucking.

You are still in Hawaii.

I can't wait to hear their ukes accompanying you and Hannah in your grass skirts and coconut shells. It sounds so fun!

Okay, no ukeleles until the last day of the trip. Got it.

What is that song about tiny bubbles? You should teach the kids.

Okay, maybe not.

I am so happy you guys took a family Hawaiian vacation. So awesome- (except for the car sickness),... hope you made it home safe and sound and TAN. No question there. Aloha and looking forward to some more pictures!

I think you're mind was fried by the Hawaii sun. Fully functioning Stie would have NEVER made that mistake.

Maybe they'll get lost on the way home?
