How I spent my Thanksgiving vacation: By Stie

Oh, hello there. Did you think I had forgotten you?

I haven't.

I was just extra busy hosting a turkey dinner, watching my sister-in-law repeatedly clean up after seven children (three of which were mine), and making time to stuff myself silly with about 19,459 calories in three days.

It was a most excellent Thanksgiving weekend, to say the least. I was able to spend time with some of my favorite people.

People like them (even if they were cheesy, poorly budgeted, and over-the-top at times):

I also got to spend time with extra hot people like HIM (who I really wanted some alone time with, I'll be honest):But even better than that, was the time I spent with people like them:

People like them:

And let's not forget people like them, who I love most of all:

Not only was my life richly filled with those that I love, but my belly was full of food that I love. Food like this:
And our favorite gut-busting Thanksgiving tradition, food like this:

There was a lot of card game playing (with some cheating, cough*Opa*cough), hotel swimming, and late night laughing. There was very little sleeping done, but nobody seemed to mind.

It was so great to be surrounded by family, good food, and fun. We hope they will all come back again soon (especially that Daniel Craig. He's welcome to come any time).

Happy Thanksgiving, all.

Good food? Check.
Time with family? Check.
Twilight? Check. (Cheesy, yes, but I must admit I liked it! I want to re-read the book now!)
Playing Games? Check (and I was the cheater!!!)

I'm back to doing my Jillian Michaels DVDs and running tomorrow! My butt has ballooned to the size of a hippo!

We did all the same things and I am so sad to have Monday back again. Ahhhhh! Your Thanksgiving sounds like it was blissful, ...good job on hosting your family and loving it. (or did you go somewhere...I could swear that is your kitchen that all that good food is in) Didn't see Twilight (rental maybe), DID see Bond (fell asleep, what with all that violent cinematography and all...it boggled my brain, and shorted it out!) But, I LOVED "Australia". Finally, my kind of movie. I bet you have seen it by now, if I know you.

You look cute in your darling green shirt, and you make me look forward to having my sisters and their families visit during Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving, belated!!!

We didn't do a whole lot of sleeping either and I didn't mind until I sat down on my couch after 13 hours in the car. Now I may not be able to get up!

I saw Twilight twice... he he he... lame and cheesy but I couldn't resist. Sounds like you had a good time with lots of family.

mmmmm Daniel Craig--I couldn't care less about the plot or the movie--he looks good. Loved Twilight (once again, Edward looked good--I'm beginning to sound like a cougar--yikes.) Glad your Thanksgiving was full of good food and family--BTW, Marty was my YWs president growing up. We were in their ward--I found you through Marta's blog.

Love the family group shot! I'd really really like some of that cake right now.

I saw Twilight last night and liked it- but way low budget it was embarrassing!

What if Craig and I brought our families also?

I have to admit, I've seen Twilight twice in a week! I am such a sap! The first time it was the midnight premier and I didn't love it, the second time I Luuuvvveed it! It's like I'm 17 all over again. Anyway, since I dragged the hubby to twilight, he dragged me to see 007. Sounds like your weekend was great and that cake looks divine!

It looks and sounds like it was lovely!! I kept telling myself that the caloric intake was crucial to my being able to have the energy to express thanks properly.

I love the pictures! Especially the group shot. You look beautiuful in the green shirt picture!

Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. And, yes, I know what you mean about Daniel Craig - he is gorgeous! Great family pictures!

May I recommend Hugh Jackman in Australia for your viewing pleasure? He's at the top of my list right now :)

So glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Hostessing is fun but draining...you need to go get a pedicure and a massage before the holiday rush. Mkay?

Your photo of the food looks like it is straight from a magazine. You are so talented!

I love your green/yellow room. You really must do a post taking us on a tour of your whole house someday! please.

yeah, I'm excited for the Twilight movies to get a real budget so the next one is not so cheesy. LOVE the Daniel Craig. He is delicious.

even cheesy and under budgetted though, Edward is still pretty perfect. :)

Looks like such a fun time. I too spent some alone time with my Twilight people. They do tend to be ott but it was still fun!

Love all the pictures (Bond, James Bond).

Have you seen interviews with "Edward"? He is a total dork. I need to go see the movie again so I can picture him perfect instead of completely DUMB.

Missed you. :)

I also spent time with HIM- and wanted alone time. And yes they were cheesy, but I did want to be part of the family.

I'm glad you got to spend the break with all those people you love. However, I don't know if I love Daniel Craig as much after this movie. I'm still torn. Maybe I'll have to see it again to make sure.

Can you cut and paste Daniel Craig holding that cake? Perfect-thanks!

You are the perfect hostess and the cake is to die for. Your hair is getting longer and looks fabulous...the mark of a great, if a tad to short of your tastes, haircut.

It was the family reunion from "Dan in real life" with works-outs, everyone laughing and cooperating, eating, playing...Thanks Stie for being the host with the most fun! We loved every minute. We even laughed at the Christmas tree light fiasco. We rolled out to the car with smiles on our chubby cheeks!!!
