My luck; my life

Say your oldest son is upstairs taking a shower. You JUST HAPPEN to glance over and see water dripping out of the light fixture in your living room. You just then notice the big four-foot long water mark on the ceiling.

Your in-laws AND parents are due to arrive in three days.

Yeah. This is my life.

Heaven help me this week, internets. I'm gonna need it.

OH MY GOSH! Why do these things always seem to happen when we are expecting company?

Quick! Paint over the water mark and list your house for sale!

Yikes! That happened to me, except my boys were taking a bath upstairs (Brian was supervising) and I was downstairs teaching dance. Uhh...water started dripping out of the canned lights onto my little hip hoppers. Oops! (Hey Brian--are you keeping an eye on the boys??)

Been there. Done that. Still have the water stain on our living room ceiling.

oh no! You are going to have a brand new house before you know it! Don't worry - the parents love you no matter what. And.....at least they will be here to entertain you and the kids while Dum-Dum comes to fix it! (o.k. not "the" dum-dum but I'm sure another dum-dum)

Argh!! I hate that for you. Are either of the dads handy? Maybe it's a blessing in disguise (she said hopefully not sounding too Pollyanna).

Quick solution- take a sweet pic of your 3 beauties (I know you're capable) and frame it up huge and put it on the ceiling. That will be a conversation starter for sure. What do you think?

Ahhh, so sorry. My neighbor up the street had the same thing happen but it was her daughters overflowing the toilet water that was coming down through the light. Either way, a pain and disgusting. Reminds me of the time I got in my towel holding a bucket to catch water shooting out of a hole in the wall where the tub facet used to be while the german relatives slept downstairs. Not good situations.

Thanks for getting rid of that crappy pink background, now I can actually read that white text...
