Stay home and eat all the flippin' chips, Kip!

Photobucket

Last week, McKay got his braces on.

In case you lost count, that makes TWO children in orthodontia. (Ah, money. How I miss you. We used to have such good times at the mall.)

But I find that braces totally suit my boys' smiles. Gives their crazy teeth a purpose. Makes their smiles seem much more full of promise, instead of just snaggily and crooked in those mouths of theirs.

Lately, though, every time I turn around, I get what we have dubbed, The Kip Face.

For those of you not versed in Napoleon Dynamite speak, I am referring to the scene where Kip and Lafawnduh share a milkshake across the table and he looks up at her through his eye brows while raising them up and down, and smiling like a hyena.

It's oh so suggestive and alluring.

[Turn your sound off though for this clip. The music makes you want to kill yourself. And you really only need watch the first two seconds to get the gist of what I'm talking about)

Meet Kip. And Kip.

Brothers bonded forever by their love of stupid movies, braces, and their need to make their mother crazy.

Seriously, though. How cute is this boy? It's a good thing I like him so much.

oh Stie, I am still a couple years from braces with Lauren, but the work we had done to correct the overbite didn't last and it is back in full force and it is driving me MAD....Gotta call the old ortho soon, don't want to...but pry should

They're rocking the braces! You're right, it really suits them both & how great they get to commiserate together.

Oh he's cute...just don't let him sit home and talk to hot babes online all day, okay?

The best part of that scene is kip kicking off his chucks and rubbing his turd colored sock on lafawnduh's sleek legs.

Irony? The capcha word verifier for this comment is rotteth. It must be a sign or something...

Braces are expensive!! I loved pulling into the ortho's office and getting a glimpse of his sleek yellow Corvette. That's where all my money went. The beautiful smile is worth it. Good looking boys. Do you have one that's 26+ years old and available?

Too funny. I had my appointment to get my braces put back on today. (Two weeks and counting)As I sat there in the chair, all I could do was curse those darn wisdom teeth for undoing three years of teenage torture, and wonder why I was doing it all over again. The step-son-to-be's just came off last week, and just about the time mine come off, my oldest son's will go on. Ahh, the joy of dental genetics... -J

I have one in retainers (which she is getting replaced for the 3rd time tomorrow -grrrrr) One in braces and one about to get them put on. We're doing all the pre stuff now. I say it's totally worth it though! (just ignore the yellow corvette)

We love Kip!
I'm really T.O'ed right now because she hasn't sent me a full body shot.

Jaxon likes to get PINK bands so he gets more attention.

As if a black boy in Southern Utah needs any more attention... :)

Kip Squared is pretty hilarious and handsome. The two of them are so funny. I just know they are a scream to have around.

Everytime I see new braces I wince as I remember how much they hurt.

Should I have said Kip Squared are pretty hilarious and handsome, since there are two of them...or was it okay that I said, "is". I never know...
I guess I shouldn't worry about it since you aren't grading our comments.

They make braces look good. We will be in the same boat in a couple of years. My kids are behind in losing teeth but I know braces are coming.

That movie will never get old. I love it! How is it that McKay looks so teenager-ish now? Holy cow! He's a looker. And the orthodontia. Lucky for me I'm getting a head start with orthodontic bills with my own teeth treatment now. Maren will definitely need them too. :( I'm still crossing my fingers my boys get Nathan's teeth.

Oh my gosh, they are so cute. Good looking, I mean.

I love technology, but not as much as you, you see. But I still love technology.
