BYU's most eligible bachelor

A few weeks ago, one of my friends asked me to take senior pictures of her son. I was excited to practice taking pictures on someone willing and capable of sitting happily and smiling for me.

Unlike the people around here who would rather endure the dentist's drill than pose for their mother without the promise of cold, hard cash.

Dustan was a photographer's dream. He endured outfit changes, multiple locations, and more than an hour's worth of smiling at my camera. I think it was worth the effort and wanted to show you a few of my favorites.

Look out, ladies of BYU. This handsome fella is coming your way this fall:

Somehow, I don't remember the boys in my high school being nearly as cute or half as nice as Dustan is.
Grab him now, girls. He'll be going fast.

  1. Wow. Almost makes me wish I was a freshman at BYU again. Did that sound cougar-ish, or what?

    Cute kid, great pictures.

  4. Terrific job, Christie! (Annemarie you are hilarious). I like them all and especially the middle three where his eyes really seem to sparkle. Now to get you on the travel circuit...

  5. You did such a good job! It was nice practice for Miss Rachel.. It does help that he is soo dang darling inside and out, and his eyes really do sparkle. I am hoping he has many cute friends to set Rachel up with at the Y.

  14. VERY GOOD! I am in the process of trying to get some seniors to pose for me. I was worried about how to make a boy pose. These are good. He looks tough and manly and cute at the same time. I love photographing older people- wiggly kids are just too hard!

  15. Great, another cute boy that will bring out all of the baking whores at BYU.

Note to Dustan: The girl who bakes/cooks for you only AFTER you start dating is the one worth pursuing. Even better, she makes you cook for her.

Oh, wait this was about the pictures, right? Very nice- on both sides of the camera.

  26. I have these two seniors in our ward that I've requested stay unmarried for 10 more years, so that Emma can have one of them.

Sorry Dustan. If you want to wait 15 years, I'll have another daughter available, but then you'd be weird for not being married at the age of 32, so never mind.

  27. Wow! If he wasn't my cousin I would swoon! (Cause swooning for a cousin is kinda weird) I'll be so sad when he goes off to college. but I know by these comments I'll be a bridesmaid before I'm outta high-school!

  28. Fabulous shots! Some lucky girl is going to swoop him up - lets hope she is as nice as you say he is!

  30. Cute fella. And does anyone else feel a little sad that the teenaged boy can wear a white belt and still be cool? I missed that fashion entirely. So unjust. Of course, I've turned all my belts into headbands, but that's beside the point.
