Dear Self:
Next year, on the Fourth of July, when you get giddy and excited about taking pictures of the fireworks, remember this: NO ONE NEEDS 387 PHOTOS OF FIREWORKS.
[Especially someone who already has four times that number of fireworks photos taking up space on the server from the last few years anyway.]
Oh well. They still look wicked awesome though, don't they?
And for your 387 fireworks photos next year:
ISO 100
f/10
2 second exposure on the bulb setting

The pictures turned out awesome!!
They did turn out great!! I love the first one!
Really great photos! You are so good!
This year was my first attempt ever at photos of fireworks. One turned out acceptable. I appreciate the camera settings info. :)
Last night I took 150 pictures of my kids and got 18 good ones. Full manual mode, to boot!
Booooring...
I hear ya sister, at least you have downloaded and posted yours.. mine are still sitting on my camera. Prob not to be viewed until Halloween! :)
So cool!
Those turned out cool! I had fun taking firework pictures for the first time this year. I found that using the settings of ISO 100, f11 for between 13 and 15 seconds worked pretty good. For me it was too shaky on bulb mode even with a tripod since I don't have a remote release or anything. You can check mine out here http://pairofsockies.blogspot.com/2011/07/celebrate-freedom.html
Those such cool pics. Where did you see the fireworks? You inspired me to make a blog, so Check out my blog at http://www.twistedwordsandtwistedmind.blogspot.com/
Thank you. =)
Dan is obviously recovering quite nicely from his ordeal...good to know that they didn't remove his sense of humor along with his kidney.
Whoa, BABY! Wicked Awesome is RIGHT!
I promise not to right click them and pretend that I took them...
...next year...
just kidding...I wouldn't do that....
I love your fireworks pictures. Do you blow them up really big and use them as July Fourth Decor? That's what I would do.
