Random bits and pieces

A few things to share today:
  1. I have been getting a ton of Chinese spam comments on my old posts. Like several per day. So I switched on the comment moderation, thinking it was the word verification thingie, but did not enter an email address for the comments to go to. As a result, I have lost all your lovely thoughts on my last post and will never be able to read them. If you had earth-shattering news to share (which I am sure you all did) please tell me again. It is really quite sad to wake up and not have a single comment to read. Hopefully, the problem has been solved.

    Stupid Chinese spam.

  2. I have approximately 2.5 billion photos to share with you. Gear up, my friends. It's going to be a photo-tastic week!

  3. I have had more migraines this week than in the past several months combined. Am thinking of amputating my own head to see if it solves the problem. I suspect not having a head won't be all that noticeable given my current state of brain power anyway.

  4. Went to 'The Blind Side' and lunch with a lovely friend yesterday. I highly recommend both. A good movie, large salad, diet coke, and fabulous conversation? Just what I needed on a Monday morning. Come to think of it, just what I need on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning, too. Movie and lunch anyone?

  5. I have forced myself to hold onto my Christmas cards until today, and am giddy with excitement to mail them off. These puppies have been dying to hit the post since Halloween, and it's high time they had their day in the sun. After I'm sure they're all received, I'll post our card here for you to see. Pretty excited about it. LOVE the good mail of December.

  6. Last, but certainly not least, it is time once again to find a new home for the Traveling Shoes. Please, please, please, go see Thelma's blog and throw your name in the hat. I know a lot of you girls out there wanted a shot at them and now is your chance. Winter or no, those beauties need to go someplace fabulous. If I can't, then they must.

  7. That is all. Happy Tuesday.

You know, I think my comment on your post yesterday was my most brilliant ever. I'm so sorry you never got a chance to read it. :)

I'll be watching my mailbox this week! And salad and a movie sounds just perfect...do you want to fly here or should I come there.

Happy December, friend.

My brain power is probably worse than yours. I'm sure I said something nice but don't remember what! Go figure. Your little vacation off the grid did look lovely. And you had lovely company as well.

Sorry about your headaches, seriously not fun. I woke up with a migraine on Thanksgiving, had to skip the family meal due to the room spinning, and ate leftovers that evening once I returned to the land of the living. I recently heard about an herb, Feverfew, that might be helpful with migraines, but I don't know much about it yet.

I must see Blindside soon. Lunch and a movie every day of the week sounds perfectly delightful!

When I retrieved my Christmas Decorations from the basement, I found my cards from last year, sealed, addressed, but never mailed. Um . . . yeah. I didn't mean to do that.

The comment thing totally sucks! I hate spam!

I want to see that movie too! I have heard nothing but good things. The lunch thing would be fabulous if I didn't have 2 sick kiddos right now :( In fact it has been a while since I did lunch with a friend. Want to go? ;)

I left my mailbox with sadness today, certain it would hold my "always first" Christmas card. I was already in withdrawals and needed the sight of you. As soon as you left a million things went through me head that I meant to talk about with you--sounds like I need to plan another trip. Thanks a million for coming up, it made my year!

I agree - spam sucks.
I was having a lot of migraines, and I went to the doc and they did a blood test and found out that I was SUPER low on Vitamin D. I've started a super supplement and no more migraines! (Well, not everyday, just every once in a long while.) You might want to look into it!

Happy Christmas-carding!

If you'd stop posting the phrases "Nekkid Feet Pictures" "Sexy Mr Darcy" and "Free Porn" you'd get a lot less spammers.

I am so glad I didn't have access to your blog while I was out of town...otherwise, I would never have had the courage to ask you for a favor while you were in the midst of #1, 2, and 3! I owe you big time...maybe lunch 3 days in a row sometime!

You can actually turn comments on old posts to approval only, which means you'll still see the spammy ones in your email inbox, but they won't be on the blog. How frustrating!

Sorry about your migranes! Please don't cut your head off.

Can't wait to see the Christmas cards.

I didn't know that you get migraines. I suggest imitrex nasal spray. My neurologist put me on it this year. It works better and faster than a pill. Maybe you should also consider the meds to prevent migraines. After much trial and error, I have found the right one and dosage. I still get migraines but not as frequent or severe as they were before.

I also think a trip to a warm, sunny climate would help. I have a guest room and pool under some swaying palm trees. When can you come?

I need to address my lovely christmas cards and send them off to some of my favorite people as well. Looking forward to seeing yours... assuming we are on your list. :) Happy mailing!

I cannot tell you how much I would LOVE to go to lunch and a movie with you.

Sorry about the spam...spam is a four letter word, afterall.

I bought the book, "The Blind Side" for Mike for his birthday. He really likes it. (he isn't finished yet)

Can't wait to see your pics!

Sorry about the migraine!!!

I get tons of comments in Chinese, too, but I didn't know it was spam. I just thought I was really popular in China.
