I have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader - and I don't remember ever having homework like they do.

Oh, and the oreos were delicious for dinner. Followed up by an ice cream sundae. I'm paying the price today though...UGHChristiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05769700320834756050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4272160714315459088.post-25900019406527850702007-03-06T11:43:00.000-06:002007-03-06T11:43:00.000-06:00Oreos sound like a perfect dinner to me. Long strings of redlicorish.THey got a whole string at the first of the day, but I would cut some off whenever there was misbehavior. I used it in primary too. Sometimes works. I ...I never liked homework...as a kid or as a mom. I remember my dad sitting with me doing math. After an hour or so he would just finish it for me. I also remember diagramming sentences with my mom. I could do that. One time I had to write a report about vegetables and she just opened her cookbook and I copied (word for word) (I was in 2nd grade) a description of lettuce. I bet that wowed my teacher!

My mom had a little tin of rum balls she made every Christmas, and saved in the "medicine" cupboard. I think that was HER "homework is a treat" jar. I hated them. Maybe if I'd learned to like them I'd remember homework differently!Travelin'Omahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18415472674768977723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4272160714315459088.post-78339213011047335312007-03-05T20:29:00.000-06:002007-03-05T20:29:00.000-06:00"the homework is a treat jar" sounds like a great ..."the homework is a treat jar" sounds like a great idea! hopefully I can remember the idea when i need it!kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08366217382075432901noreply@blogger.com
